Progress at Bedford Dwellings Phase I

1

Phase I of construction is well underway for the Bedford Dwellings Development.

In 2023, the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh (HACP) received a federal Choice Neighborhoods Implementation Grant to revitalize and transform the Bedford Dwellings and Middle Hill neighborhoods. The goal of this Choice Neighborhoods Initiative is to replace the 411 units of the Bedford Dwellings Public Housing Complex and construct an additional 422 units of new rental housing across the current Bedford Dwellings location and three other sites in the Middle Hill District.

Mistick is fortunate to be part of this transformation, having been selected by TREK Development to be the General Contractor for Phases IA and IB. In collaboration with the URA, HACP, TREK, and WRT, LLC, new homes are starting to take shape, marking an exciting milestone in this extensive redevelopment project.
