On March 27, 2025, Mistick Construction proudly celebrated the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Grandview South Homes in Pittsburgh’s Allentown neighborhood. This milestone marks the availability of the first home for lease, bringing us one step closer to completing this transformative project.
Grandview South will introduce 31 lease-to-own homes across previously vacant lots on Excelsior Street, Ceres Way, Eureka Street, McLain Street, Allen Street, and Renwick Street. The development includes 23 two-bedroom and 8 three-bedroom units, providing much-needed housing options in the community.
A project 12 years in the making, Grandview South has been a collaborative effort between Hilltop Alliance and our client, Gatesburg Road Development, with critical support from PHFA, Dollar Bank, and many other dedicated partners. While there is still work ahead, Mistick is thrilled with the progress and proud to see this long-awaited vision come to life.
We were honored to have Mayor Ed Gainey join us for the celebration, along with Mrs. Baney, a 100-year-old lifelong resident of the area. Mrs. Baney, for whom Baney is named, shared that she hasn’t seen progress like this in Allentown in her lifetime.
At Mistick, we believe in the power of housing to change lives. As Mayor Gainey said, "housing is a human right", and that belief is at the heart of everything we do.
