Grandview at Longwood
Overlooking the Oakmont Country Club and the Allegheny River valley, the Grandview sits atop the highest point of the Longwood at Oakmont campus, a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC). As part of Presbyterian SeniorCare, a non-profit network of living and care options for older adults and/or persons with disabilities, it is one of their 55 CCRC's throughout Western Pennsylvania.
Each of the 89 spacious units has two bedrooms, two full baths, and a balcony or sun room. Finishes have high-end features and fine detail throughout. Other amenities include a 11,000 sq. ft., state of the art fitness and exercise room, guest suites, community rooms, and a fifth floor conference center.
The Grandview received a Silver LEED rating; it's the first senior living apartment building to earn this certification. Its environmentally friendly design includes Energy Star appliances, generous use of natural light, underground storage tanks, and bio-swales for sustainable landscaping amenities.
The five-story block and plank structure sits atop a secure, single level, underground parking garage. Its exterior facade includes brick veneer, vinyl siding, and aluminum trim.
