Clarion University Student Housing

Clarion University has recently commenced construction of a new 192 unit, 728 bed project on their Clarion, PA campus. Mistick is responsible for construction of two four-story residential dormitory buildings along the main street corridor at the edge of campus. In addition to providing student housing for Clarion University's growing student population, the project will introduce new retail and community spaces to campus, including a bookstore, coffee shop, auditorium, restaurant, and university space. The project is scheduled for completion in 2016.

Addison Terrace

Mistick Construction Company has been awarded the site development for Addison Terrace. In addition to the site work, Mistick has been awarded a contract for a large scope of work related to the vertical construction, and with its partner, Alliance Construction Group, is responsible for the $54.4 M project. The site development includes infrastructure and bulk excavation of the 47 acre site. This is the first of two phases, and includes 186 housing units in a mix of one, two, three and four bedroom units. A groundbreaking ceremony was held April 22, 2013 with all stakeholders that included the Housing Authority, City of Pittsburgh, KBK Enterprises and members of the community.

Site work began September 30, 2013 with the removal of thousands of cubic yards of excavation being done prior to the foundation work for the buildings, which began January 7, 2014. This phase of the project is expected to be complete for occupancy July of 2015.

Saint Luke's Manor, Phase III

Phase III of the Saint Luke's Manor project is not a simple extension of Phase I and II, which were renovations that provided apartments for seniors. Phase III is 82,000 sf of the East Wing and incorporates renovations to house a The Intergenerational School, a public charter school with over 200 students in K-8, the Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland, The Debra Ann November Early Learning Center, offices for Neighborhood Progress and the Saint Luke's Foundation. Special attention was given by the State Historic Preservation Office for the reuse of the Prentiss Auditorium, which has been converted into a multipurpose facility for the building tenants and the community-at-large. In keeping with the Historic Preservation elements of Phase I and II, there was extensive work to the exterior façade, in addition to complete replacement of the building infrastructure.

The Saint Luke's Manor project received the 2012 National Trust/HUD Secretary's Award for Excellence in Historic Preservation and Affordable Housing Finance "Readers Choice Award for Historic Rehab".

William S. Moorhead Tower

William S. Moorhead Tower is an existing 15 story apartment building with 141 units in the busy Oakland section of Pittsburgh. Renovations are being completed as the building is completely occupied. Tenants are leaving their units in the morning and returning early evening, allowing for renovations to take place while they are away. Renovations include plumbing, HVAC and electrical upgrades, new kitchen appliances, window replacement, fire alarm system replacement and floorcovering throughout. In addition, the exterior EIFS is being repaired as the windows are being replaced.

Doughboy Square Apartments

Doughboy Square Apartments is an urban infill apartment building with 39 luxury apartments, a 41 car parking area in the basement, and room for retail at the first floor. The apartments are all 2 bedroom with 2 baths with high end finishes that include stainless steel, Energy Star appliances, ceramic floors and wood look floors. The countertops are granite. Each apartment has an exterior balcony. The exterior finishes are a mix of ground face block accents; brick veneer and fiber cement panels. Besides the basement level parking, the building incorporates a package receiving area and dog wash area.
